Individual benefit

• Out of all people who have successfully completed training in the framework of occupational rehabilitation in 2020 (most in the form of apprenticeship completion exams) 76,8 percent are able to begin work within one year after completing their training.

• On average, people who have successfully completed training in the framework of occupational rehabilitation at BBRZ in 2020, receive € 649 higher salaries than they did before occupational rehabilitation. This equals an increase in annual salary by € 9,086.

Economic benefits

• 1,024 clients were placed on the labour market directly from occupational rehabilitation by BBRZ in 2021. 

• 957 clients received (Re)training tailored to the needs of the economy by BBRZ in 2022.

Societal benefit

• Close to four fifths of BBRZ clients would have a low chance of regaining a foothold on the labour market without occupational rerehabilitation. A mere 22.9 percent of BBRZ clients have good ex-ante integration chances. The ex-ante integration chance indicates the degree to which a person can expect to receive an offer of employment without rehabilitation measures and to meet the requirements of the job to a large extent. It mirrors the 'potential' of a person and is based on information such as age, gender, care commitments, the highest level of training completed, previous employment/unemployment.

• € 474,442 of increased revenue were generated by our society by those people who successfully completed occupational rehabilitation at BBRZ alone. This amount is composed of increases in income tax and social insurance contributions as well as the unemployment benefits that didn't have to be paid out.    

• When taking into account the increase in individual salaries, the overall benefit rises to € 7,292,534 for 2020.
